Watch For IT Updates: Password Simplifcation & Access to Microsoft and Adobe Creative Suite Software On Tap
We’ve all lamented the hassle of remembering multiple passwords and the high cost of state-of-the-art software. Well, Webster University adjuncts and the entire Webster University community can breathe a sigh of relief on both fronts.
Get ready for a new password protocol and the availability of a comprehensive suite of apps.
Over the next few months IT will be modernizing Webster University’s password protocols and adopting “same sign-on.” That means users will be able to use the same password to access many University-managed applications.
In addition, Webster has subscribed to Office 365, a suite of cloud-based applications that encompasses everything from email to calendaring and storage. A similar usage agreement has also been reached with Adobe for cloud-based software for video editing, audio editing, photography, digital marketing and other creative uses.
Faculty and staff will be notified once the Microsoft services are available. For those who need to access Adobe, adjunct faculty are asked to complete and submit a work order. An email with download instructions will be sent. There is no cost for these services.
Additional details will be posted in the coming weeks, but you can get more information here.
