Three Webster Students Take First Place in Stage Lighting Competition

Three Webster University students from the Lee Gerdine College of Fine Arts earned first place in a national stage lighting contest in Las Vegas in October.

For their victory, the students – Josh Murphy, Natalie Arco, and Jon Ontiveros – received a personal mini-control console valued at $10,000, while Webster University will receive a $20,000 scholarship contribution and a new lighting control console valued at approximately $20,000 from High End Systems, the event sponsors.

Construction Update

Steel construction continues through Nov. 22 at the Interdisciplinary Science Building, while concrete pours for the floors will continue until Dec. 1. The parking garage is also back on schedule, having lost ground with the heavy rains several weeks ago.
