When Grading: Know How/When to Give An “Incomplete”
With the conclusion of Fall Semester classes and the start of exams, please remember the deadline for grade submissions is December 31.

Please do not leave “In Progress (IP)” grades in the system. Incompletes and IP grades can affect a student’s academic progress, course sequencing, and even graduation. Please also take time to review your “incompletes,” and the guidance concerning that designation, to ensure they are used in appropriate situations. Visit here for an overview of considerations. Adjunct Town Halls: Dates and Times Announced for Winter Term
Once again, President Elizabeth Stroble and Provost Julian Schuster will hold two town hall sessions for adjunct faculty shortly after the Winter Term begins. Along with updates on University news and events, Kyle McCool and Erica Ellard will give a presentation on the Student Success Portal powered by Starfish. We invite you to come and learn how to use this great tool. Currently, the town halls are scheduled for:

  • Thursday, January 25, 2018: 4:00-5:00 p.m., Location EAB 137
  • Wednesday, January 31, 2018: 9:00-10:00 a.m. in Browning Hall

Please attend, if you can. For those who are unable, a summary of the meetings will be posted here a short time after the events conclude.

President & CEO of St. Louis Urban League Named 2018 Commencement Speaker
Michael McMillan, president and CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, will be the Honorary Degree Recipient and will address 2018 graduates during the May commencement ceremonies. McMillan oversees the largest and highest rated Urban League affiliate in the country.

An accomplished civic leader and public servant, McMillan helped organize resources for the community in the aftermath of the Ferguson crisis. Please visit here for more information on Mr. McMillan’s distinguished public service career.
