Don’t Miss Upcoming Spring Convocation or Adjunct Town Hall Meetings
To get caught up on Webster University news, events, and priorities, plan on attending Spring Convocation, which will be held on Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. in the Winifred Moore Auditorium at 470 E. Lockwood. The event, open to all faculty, staff and students will feature presentations by President Beth Stroble and Provost Julian Schuster. To learn more, visit here.
Later this month, President Stroble and Provost Schuster will hold two town hall sessions specifically for adjunct faculty. Along with updates on University news and events, Kyle McCool and Erica Ellard will give a presentation on the Student Success Portal powered by Starfish. The town halls are scheduled for:
- Thursday, January 25, 2018: 4:00-5:00 p.m., Location EAB 137
- Wednesday, January 31, 2018: 9:00-10:00 a.m. in Browning Hall Auditorium
Chess Team Wins National Championship – AGAIN!
Webster University’s Chess Team added to its trophy case, winning the Pan-Am InterCollegiate Chess Championship for the sixth year in a row. The win also secures the team one of four slots in the “President’s Cup” tourney, which represents the national collegiate title.

Students Learn About Webster Groves Community
Read about the experiences of a group of Webster University students who attended Kim Kleinman’s first-year seminar, “Learning to Commence,”
which provided an in-depth look at the history and operations of the Webster Groves community. Participants visited with community leaders, city council members, and Webster Groves city service department heads to learn more about the area and the events and history that helped shape and make Webster Groves the municipality it is today.
