Conservatory: “Men on Boats” – A Unique Take on a Historical Adventure
Nothing like a little a little comedy and some history – with a twist. Check out the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University’s production of "Men on Boats," where a group of 10 women reenact a wild, 1869 river rafting expedition. The twist: The 1869 expedition down the Colorado River was led by a one-armed explorer, John Wesley Powell, with a crew of nine men.
“Men on Boats” performances, which are held in the Emerson Studio Theatre at the Loretto-Hilton Center, run from Feb. 21 through Feb. 25. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. on Sundays. Global Leadership Academy Picks Up Two Honors at National Human Resources Conference
At the 38th annual LEAD Awards, Webster’s Global Leadership Academy was named the top university in two categories:
- Best Social Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing (3rd out of 150 total entries)
- Best Global/International Program (10th out of 200 entries).
