Adjunct Faculty Members Awarded Kemper Awards for Excellence in Teaching
Adjunct faculty members Eric Flack and Henry Garcia were each awarded Kemper awards to recognize their many teaching contributions.
Flack, is a faculty member in the School of Education’s Multidisciplinary Studies Department, while Garcia teaches at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas as part of the Procurement and Acquisitions program offered by the George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology.
Funded by the William T. Kemper Foundation, the Kemper Award for Excellence in Teaching awards recognizes faculty members who demonstrate teaching at its finest. Up to four Kemper Awards are presented each year: two for full-time faculty members (St. Louis) who each receive a $10,000 award, and two adjunct faculty members (all campuses) who each receive a $5,000 award. The Provost appoints a committee to review nominations and materials and then recommends the four recipients.
