The academic school year kicked off with the second-largest group of undergraduates in history. As of the first week of classes, 498 incoming freshmen were joined by 259 transfer students. The new group includes 60 students receiving academic scholarships, while 97 percent of freshmen and 80 percent of the transfer students are receiving some type of aid, which can include scholarships, grants, or other forms of assistance.
