University Athletes Recognized for Academic Accomplishments
This spring, 28 Webster student-athletes made the 2019 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, representing the Gorloks baseball, golf, softball, men's and women's track & field, and men's and women's tennis teams.
In addition, the Webster women’s volleyball team received a Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association with a Team Academic Award. The honor recognizes teams that have their dedication to volleyball with classroom accomplishment by maintaining a 3.30 cumulative team GPA.
Similarly, both the men's and women's tennis teams earned Team ITA All-Academic Awards and had six individuals on each team named ITA Scholar-Athletes, while the University’s men's golf team was one of only eight NCAA Division III programs to earn both an All-Academic Team honor as well as the prestigious President's Special Recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
