To the loyal and committed donors, alumni and friends of Webster University:
I hope this message finds you safe and healthy. On behalf of the Webster University community, President Julian Z. Shuster and I want you to know that you and your loved ones are on our minds and in our hearts.
We are living in unprecedented times, and nearly every day we are faced with new challenges. Despite the uncertainty around us, Webster University continues to model the pioneering spirit of our founders, and like generations of Gorloks before us, our community has rallied to ensure that our students receive a premier education.
For the safety and health of our students, the University quickly moved all classes to an online format. This is true for every Webster campus worldwide. Webster’s dedicated faculty and skilled support staff have exemplified their professionalism and their compassion for their students by transitioning to virtual classrooms.
I want you, as a valued member of our global community, to be among the first to know how your Webster is rising to these challenges. In the coming weeks, I will connect with you to share ways that Webster is taking the lead to adapt to the ever-changing environment.
I will share with you stories of faculty and staff providing innovative solutions for the personal and professional changes in which many of us find ourselves; alumni who are stepping up and reaching out to serve their communities; and students pivoting to new ways of learning and connecting.
Webster University has succeeded for more than a century because we are strong, resilient and forward-thinking. Together we will continue to move forward and be the leaders our global community needs us to be.
I leave you with a joint message from President Schuster and me. I look forward to hearing from you and staying in touch in the coming weeks.
