Fall 2 Early Term Progress Survey Launches Friday, Oct. 30
No question 2020 continues to be a challenging year, but please don’t forget to complete your Fall 2 Early Term Progress Surveys, which launches on Friday, October 30. They will close on Monday, November 9 at 11 p.m. CST. As many of you recognize, these surveys are an opportunity to encourage students, connect them to resources and supports if needed, and help them persist and succeed with their educational activities.

Joint Workshop on Communication During COVID-19 to be Presented by the Accessibility Committee and DEAF Inc.
On Friday, November 6, at noon, the Webster community (students, faculty, and staff) are invited to attend a ZOOM workshop on communications during the COVID-19 pandemic presented by Mr. Devon Whitmore.
Whitmore, who is deaf, will help attendees gain an awareness of the obstacles the deaf and hearing people may face in terms of communication during these difficult times. The workshop will offer tips, usable technologies, and interactive opportunities. To register for the event, please visit here. Webster Speaks: Activism Through Art, Wednesday, October 28, at 7 p.m.
Don’t forget to register for the next segment of Webster Speaks, where Chief Diversity Officer Vincent Flewellen leads conversations with thought leaders and prominent voices on issues relating to systemic racism. This week’s topic: Activism Through Art, with special guests: Cbabi Bayou, visual artist and illustrator, and Dail Chambers, an award-winning multimedia artist, Reiki master, and community educator. Nominate Your Choice for Staff Member of the Year
Nominations are now being accepted for the annual Staff Member of the Year award. Nominations should be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 13. The award recognizes two staff members who have gone the extra mile in their position from June 2019 to May 2020. For information, visit here. Award winners will be recognized at a special event in December and receive a $1,000 performance award.
